Sound That Just Works

I’m Cory Hecht, a live sound engineer based in Bondi. I’ve mixed corporate and community events across Sydney with a professional AV crew, and run sound for Central Synagogue, Chabad of Bondi, Cantor Shai Abramson, the vocal band Six13, and a Netflix Squid Game promotional event at the Queen Victoria Building.

I’m also a performer, touring with The Maccabeats, so I know what a singer or speaker needs from a sound system and what an audience notices when it goes wrong. I’m Dante Level 1 certified for networked audio, too.

I bring my own microphones and mixing desk, supply speakers to suit your room, set everything up, run the sound for the whole event and pack it all away, so you can focus on your guests.

Nine wireless microphones, including eight Shure ULX-D digital wireless, for speeches, MCs and singers
Wired microphones for instruments and extra vocals
A digital mixing desk, run by me for the whole event
Speakers sized to your event, from battery-powered portable speakers for small and outdoor gatherings to a full PA for larger rooms
Music playback for walk-ins, entrances and background music
Setup, sound check and pack-down

Karaoke Parties

Want something more interactive? I run karaoke-style parties with a proper sound system, wireless mics and a mixing desk, so everyone sounds their best. Keep it to live singing, or I can record every performance so your guests go home with a track of themselves singing. For an additional fee, I’ll mix those recordings so they sound polished and ready to share.

Already have a PA or an AV company? I also work as a freelance engineer on existing systems and crews, from mixing as A1 to setup and patching.

Ask Me Anything

Yes. I bring my own wireless and wired microphones, mixing desk and cabling, and supply speakers sized to your event. I set it all up and pack it away.

Yes. I’m a singer and beatboxer too, and in many cases I can perform and run the sound at the same event. See music for simchas or get in touch.

No. I’m shomer Shabbat, so I don’t run sound from Friday sundown to Saturday night, or on Yom Tov. Saturday night events can work when no setup is needed, or for larger events where the system can be set up on Thursday or Friday.

Yes. I’m happy to mix on an existing system or join a crew as a freelance engineer.

I’m based in Bondi and work across Sydney, from the Eastern Suburbs to the CBD and beyond.
