A Jewish Singer for Your Simcha

I’m Cory Hecht, a Bondi-based Jewish singer and beatboxer with more than fifteen years on stage. I perform at bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings and community events across Sydney, and I can run the sound for the whole event too.

Performing member of The Maccabeats since 2017 · Former music director of the Y-Studs · Performed at the White House and with Josh Groban · Kol HaOlam winner, 2015

COMMON QUESTIONS

Ask Me Anything

Yes. I sing in Hebrew and English, and I’m always adding to my Jewish repertoire. If there’s a particular song you’d like, let me know and I’ll see if I can accommodate it.

Yes, in a way that keeps Shabbat. I’m shomer Shabbat, so on Shabbat and Yom Tov I don’t use microphones, amplification or any electronics, and I don’t run sound. I’m happy to lead Shabbat singing and Kabbalat Shabbat services, or run beatbox and music workshops taught by rote.

During the week, in many cases, yes. Get in touch and we’ll work out what suits your event best.
