About Cory

Musician. Engineer. Educator.

My Story

I’m Cory Hecht, an audio engineer, singer, beatboxer and educator based in Bondi. I grew up in New York, started out in theatre, and earned a music degree in voice from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College.

I’ve been a performing member of The Maccabeats since 2017, served as music director of the Y-Studs, and was a member of Shir Soul. I’ve performed for President and First Lady Obama at the White House, at Carnegie Hall and Citi Field, and alongside Josh Groban, on five continents.

Behind the desk, I’ve produced award-winning a cappella recordings, run live sound for synagogues, concerts and corporate events, and edited more than 240 podcast episodes. In Sydney I also teach singing, beatboxing and music, and direct the B’nai B’rith Riffers.

Who I Work With

Artists, choirs, a cappella groups, podcasters, event organizers, schools, synagogues, and anyone who needs great sound. Whether you’re booking a live event, recording your first album, or signing your kid up for lessons, I’d love to work with you.
