I’m Cory Hecht, an audio engineer based in Sydney. Since 2021 I’ve edited and mixed more than 240 podcast episodes across nine shows, first as an editor for Emerald City Productions in the US and then for my own clients.

That includes almost every episode of Olive You Whole, 98 episodes of Trial Lawyer Prep from the show’s launch, the Cohere Podcast and Probably True Solar Stories.

All of my podcast work is remote, so it doesn’t matter where you record. Send me your raw audio and I’ll send back a polished episode, ready to publish.

Editing from US$100 per episode (about A$150). Full production and video are quoted separately.

Editing: mistakes, long pauses, filler words and crosstalk removed, so the conversation flows
Cleanup: background noise, hum, echo and mouth clicks reduced
Mixing and levelling: consistent voices and music, with loudness set for Apple Podcasts and Spotify

Yes. All of my podcast work is remote, and most of my clients so far have been in the US. The time difference means your files can be worked on while you sleep.

Your raw audio, ideally with a separate track for each speaker, plus any intro, outro, music or ads, and notes on anything you want cut.

It depends on the length and how much editing is needed. We’ll agree on a turnaround that fits your release schedule.

Yes. I can recommend gear and walk you through recording yourself and remote guests so your audio starts out clean.
